About Our Diamonds
Representing purity, perfection and promise, for centuries diamonds have been widely regarded as the ultimate symbol of commitment and eternal love.
With this in mind, the idea of purchasing a diamond can be overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.
Our diamond education is designed to help you understand the characteristics of a diamond, how those characteristics influence appearance, and which characteristics are most important to consider depending on the shape of stone you are contemplating buying. In just a few minutes you’ll have all the information you need to choose your ideal diamond.
As the name suggests, shape (round, princess, radiant, etc.) describes a diamond’s form, primarily as viewed from above.
Cut does not refer to a diamonds shape (e.g. round, oval, princess etc), it refers to a diamonds proportions, symmetry and polish.
Diamonds come in wide range of colours, some of them extremely rare (yellows, pinks and blues).
Clarity is sometimes referred to as purity and is a measure of the number, size and location of the tiny imperfections or flaws that occur in almost all natural diamonds.
Diamonds are sold by the carat (shown as ct.) which is a unit of weight and does not directly relate to height or size.
Before being purchased, many diamonds are sent to a third party laboratory for comprehensive evaluation; this process is known in the industry as diamond certification.
